The sky wide open not as emptiness,
but as warmth;
sunlight softly illuminating the edges of silence,
all-pervasive, vast and boundless.
Awareness: an effortless radiance arising spontaneously,
a stream, pulling gently inward, beyond itself,
bright and lucid, centerless.
Do not particularize, do not cling,
do not lose the ground for the event;
mirror reflecting mirror,
seeing through reflection to the transparency itself.
The rhythm of breath carves space:
pauses become doorways,
silence, an invitation.
Each line a step towards the unseen ground,
towards sacredness woven seamlessly in mundane threads.
Awakening is subtle:
the gentle hum beneath thought,
the ever-present glow behind feeling;
a yoga of one taste, condensed, essential, intimate with reality.
Thought dissolves, non-elaboration reveals itself:
a clarity so precise it ceases to need naming.
The emptiness is empty,
the form is evolving.
Returning again and again,
the ground itself instructs,
as attention shifts gently,
a natural movement within the field of being,
an innate ease, fluid, graceful.
What clouds it?
The tangled self, the hook of duality, the center of doing.
Yet clouds pass naturally through sky untouched by their forms.
Everything is clear and empty,
yet every little thing matters,
fully free, fully feeling.
Patterns of energy, of light, of wisdom:
same essence, unique in expression.
Awareness itself becomes compassion,
a tender discernment:
seeing through all, grounded in openness,
yet deeply attuned to every subtle movement of the heart.
Each moment is spontaneous enlightened intention,
free from karmic residue, pure, unclouded,
existence itself whispering its secret through silence,
through form, through us.
With gratitude,
Rachel
